Tip: Converting Cleanly from Word to HTML

Most of you may know this tip already, but thought I'd pass it along just in case.

MS Word has a filter to convert Word docs to 'compact' html. What I always hated was that the 'compact' wasn't very compact. However, I found out that it's a 2 step process. First you do the File, Export to, Compact HTML. Then you close the file, go to Start, Programs, MS Office Tools, Filter. Under options on the filter you can choose to eliminate a lot more of the garbage MS puts in. The resulting files are fairly clean. URL to download:
